Belvoir Equine Veterinary and Dental Services Ltd
We are a fully-independent practice run by a team of forward-thinking, understanding veterinary surgeons. We value our clients and listened to horse owners in the area when you told us that you are looking for a top-quality service, with the added bonus of continuity of care from a single vet. We aim to ensure horses see the same vet throughout their treatment for any condition.

Meet the Team

Veterinary Surgeon and Director
Tom Chatfeild-Roberts
BVetMed (Hons) MRCVS
Tom qualified from the RVC and moved to Devon where he worked in an equine hospital. Latterly, he moved home to Leicestershire to work in a large equine practice. Tom is particularly interested in lameness and poor performance. Tom became a partner in the practice in 2023 when he developed the practice into offering a full veterinary service. On his days off you may find him at a point to point track, or even riding around the Aintree Grand National fences in the Foxhunters.

Meisha Micklewright
BVetMed MRCVS BAEDT
Meisha established the practice as an equine dentistry service in 2022. She has a wide range of experience with different types of equine practice. After graduating she worked in a veterinary hospital in Cheltenham where a large proportion of patients were racehorses and latterly for a charity based in Devon. She then moved to Leicestershire to work for a local equine vet. As well as being an all-around vet, Meisha is a BAEDT qualified equine dentist and has a keen interest in dentistry. She is currently studying for her certificate in dental surgery through the University of Liverpool.

Equine Nurse
Jess Saunders
Jess has a passion for client care and animal welfare, ensuring no stone is unturned when looking after your equine family. She worked at a local equine hospital for over 17 years, before joining Belvoir Equine, so has a fountain of knowledge. Jess can perform a range of tasks from radiographs and bandage changes to sedating for clipping. Like all our staff, Jess has extensive experience with her own horses, making her a great asset to the team. You will likely find her with Snail and Worm in tow.

Veterinary Surgeon
Millie Crane
Millie graduated from the University of Edinburgh and moved to the East Midlands to work for a large equine practice doing a combination of ambulatory and hospital work. Millie has a certificate in internal medicine and also enjoys behaviour cases, she is also currently preparing to undertake her BAEDT qualification. When not at work Millie enjoys running with her dog Spud and racing long distance triathlons, having competed in the Ironman World Championships in 2024.

HR and Admin Manager
Zoe
Zoe has a wealth of experience working with equine veterinary practices. She began her career as an equine veterinary nurse, and has held a variety of other roles within practice management and administration. As well as looking after the HR side of the business she also covers the office work when needed.

Rachael Pickering

Rachael is your first port of call when phoning our office. She is a friendly voice at the end of the phone to help you with your enquiries. Having horses herself, she knows how precious our four-legged friends are!

Our Mission
Our mission is to provide accessible, comprehensive, and consistent equine veterinary and dental care, including our emergency service, to all horse owners in the Midlands. We prioritise the health and well-being of every horse we treat, as an independent practice with integrity and compassion at our core, and a strong commitment to education and preventive care.
